Welcome to the WWIM library! This is a (very much) non-exhaustive list of books which we think may interest people who are in the WWIM orbit, and/ or are difficult to get a hold of. We’ve started this off for a few reasons:

  • Relying less on social media/ short form content for learning is very important and something we are trying to do (bring back attention spans amiright)
  • It can be hard to know what is even out there related to exploratory music, community building, social justice/ issues/ ‘australia’, and hopefully this can be a starting point for people
    • The above is especially relevant for local, limited edition print runs, which is why we are so excited about the Zines and poetry collections by local authors in the library
  • This collection can give people an idea of our values and interests, and the ideas which influence us, which is useful in providing accountability to the ~scene~
  • Sharing is good, saving money is good, reduce reuse recycle, community and connection are always things we need more of, yahoo!

how it works.

You can borrow books at WWIM events, or by emailing us a request so we can work out how to get it to you. We will take down your email address and update our spreadsheet so we can keep track of what you’ve got.

To return, same deal: bring to an event or email us at wwimfest (at) gmail (dot) com to sort it out. All books have a WWIM sticker on the spine and some info behind the front cover, which includes our email address and whether or not it’s okay to dog ear/ scribble in the book you’ve borrowed. Please note that if you majorly damage or lose the book you’ve borrowed, we may ask you to replace it.

If you have any requests for additions, we are very open to it, and if you have books which you would like to add to our collection, please get in touch.
