WWIM Jam & Library Launch.

We are excited to announce that WWIM will have a little library ! Our team has been working hard to compile a bunch of books to share with the WWIM fam ~ come hear all about it & check out a few books at our library launch on Sunday August 3rd 2:00pm at Ron Stone Park (WAAPA park).

Also, don’t you think this gloomy winter can do with a bit more sounds, noise and ruckus ?? We’ll be hosting a jam sesh and we want you there! All is welcome ~ bring your instruments and mates/ family/ cats/ lizards/ that one person you’ve been talking to who you’ve always wanted to hang with 👀 It will be so fun !

In addition to bringing along a library of books, we’re bringing along international artist Nuwan Gunawardhana as a guest jammer!

Nuwan Gunawardhana is a performer, recording artist, composer, arranger, and educator dedicated to blending wind instruments with native music traditions. His work seeks to elevate audience experiences while enriching Sri Lanka’s musical heritage. With a deep belief in music as a vehicle for meaningful expression, he continues to explore innovative ways to connect tradition and sound. A versatile performer with a signature sound, Nuwan has been commissioned for numerous recordings and live performances, including major concerts and theatre productions. His collaborations span a wide range of artists and genres, adding a distinctive voice to Sri Lanka’s vibrant music scene.
